Directions:
1 C. water
1 C. butter
3/4 C. sugar
2 tsp salt
-Bring water to a boil and add butter, sugar, and salt. Remove from heat. Add 1 C. cold water and let cool until warm.
-2 pkg yeast
-1/2 C. warm water
-dissolve yeast in warm water until frothy...5-10 minutes.
4 eggs beaten
7 1/2- 8 C. flour
-Put warm water/butter/sugar mixture into a mixing bowl. If it is still too hot, let it cool a bit more. You don't want it to be too hot or it will cook the eggs and kill the yeast.
-Add beaten eggs and yeast mixture and mix to combine.
-Add flour and continue mixing until dough is slightly sticky and pulls away from the mixing bowl.
-Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate over night/ or at least 4 hrs.
-After dough is refrigerated, divide dough into 4 equal parts. It's not rocket science. Just guesstimate!
-Take one ball of dough and roll it out into a circle on a floured work station.
-Cut dough like you would a pizza with a pizza cutter into triangles.
-Roll up each triangle into a crescent shape and place on a greased cookie sheet (tip side down) to rise...about an hour.
-Repeat steps with the rest of dough until all balls of dough are used.
-Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
